01 · The World

Hong Kong, at the edge of history

Blue Lantern is a noir novel set in Hong Kong between 1981 and 1993 — the final years before the Handover cast their shadow over everything. At its centre is Jimmy, a low-ranked triad soldier navigating a world of institutional corruption, a sealed Brotherhood election, and documents that should not exist.

The novel is the spine. But the world extends far beyond it — into a documentary archive of real and fictional primary sources, a podcast that excavates the history behind the fiction, and a community of readers who become investigators.

Red Pole Archives is where that world lives when the book is closed.

02 · The Transmedia Architecture

One world. Six entry points.

Every format is designed to deepen the world, not repeat it. The novel is the story. The archive is the evidence. The podcast is the investigation. The cards are the characters. Each format brings a new audience — and each audience becomes part of the same world.

03 · The Archive

35 documents. One living archive.

The Red Pole Archives is not a companion website. It is a separate world — a curated collection of primary source documents that exist independently of the novel, structured as a real institutional archive with classification levels, cross-references, and documents that are permanently sealed.

Each document is a designed artefact: aged paper textures, period typography, official stamps, redaction bars. The archive has its own aesthetic identity and its own internal logic. Some files are open. Some require membership. One — the Tiger Seal — will never be opened.

04 · Commercial Architecture

Multiple revenue streams. One coherent world.

Red Pole Archives is built as a commercial property from the ground up — not a creative project looking for a business model. Every format has been designed with its own audience, its own revenue logic, and its own contribution to the overall property value.

Multiple worlds, one infrastructure

Dagda Media develops six original properties simultaneously — each sharing a single production and distribution architecture. Red Pole Archives is the proof of concept.

AI-powered production at independent scale

By integrating AI tools across research, writing, design, and distribution, we produce multilingual, richly layered content at a pace and cost that previously required a major studio.

IP with genuine depth

Every format is a separate commercial product that also increases the value of every other product. The IP compounds. Licensing and broadcast rights sit on top of a proven audience.

05 · The Dagda Model

Why transmedia is the right structure for this moment.

Audiences no longer inhabit a single format. They move between platforms, languages, and media in the same day. The studios and publishers that win in the next decade are the ones who build worlds — not products. Dagda Media was founded to build exactly that.

01

World-first design

Every project starts as a world with rules, history, and logic — not a manuscript looking for a platform. The formats follow the world, not the other way around.

02

Audience as investigator

The Reading Room community model turns passive readers into active participants. Engagement is a design feature, not a marketing afterthought.

03

Multilingual by construction

AI-assisted translation and localisation is built into the production pipeline from day one — not added at the end. Every world reaches every market it belongs in.

04

Compounding IP value

Each format increases the value of every other format. A reader becomes a listener. A listener becomes a collector. A collector becomes an investor. The property grows with its audience.
